Tai Chi with Eric Newdom

Tai Chi is a moving meditation, a martial art, a gentle, weight-bearing exercise, and an approach to learning balance through movement. At its core, the practitioner flows through a series of postures intended to help students develop a relaxed, aligned, and efficient use of the body. Originating in ancient China as a study of the internal mechanics and principles of Kung Fu, it is practiced around the world as an exercise with numerous health benefits. These include improved strength, flexibility, and balance, lower blood pressure, greater bone density, and a reduction in accidental falls and their resulting injuries. This class will study the Yang style short form popularized by Master Cheng Man-ch'ing, Chi Gong exercises, and other related material. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Breathwork Journey: Connecting With You Authentic Self with Kelly.

Breathwork Journey offers a powerful ability to unlock deep emotional healing and clarity—without the need for words.

Unlike traditional talk therapy or mindfulness practices that rely heavily on the mind, Breathwork taps directly into the body’s innate intelligence. Through the continuous, rhythmic flow of breath, it gently bypasses mental resistance and accesses stored emotions, trauma, and tension that often lie beneath conscious awareness.

People report profound experiences: releasing long-held grief, feeling unexpected joy, gaining insights into personal patterns, or simply experiencing an overwhelming sense of peace. It’s a natural, drug-free method to reset the nervous system, expand self-awareness, and reconnect with your body and intuition.

In a world that encourages disconnection and suppression, this offers a safe and transformative path back to yourself.

Sacred Resonance: A Journey of Breath, Sound & Stillness with Jen Smith.

🕰 90 Minutes of Peace

As winter wraps the earth in its quiet stillness, we too are invited to slow down, soften, and turn inward. The January installment of Sacred Resonance: A Journey of Breath, Sound and Stillness,  is a space to honor this sacred seasonal pause—a time to deeply restore, reflect, and reconnect with the peace that lives within. Through gentle breath work, restorative postures enhanced by blankets and bolster, soft chanting, and the soothing sounds of the silver flute and Maren’s cosmic gongs, we will align with the rhythm of winter and tap into the profound healing that happens when we embrace stillness.

This month’s focus will be on cultivating inner peace, acceptance, and gratitude for the quieter rhythms of life. We will release the urgency of “doing” and instead, nourish our nervous systems with presence and calm. The evening will conclude with a gentle Yoga Nidra and a sound bath led by Maren, guiding you into profoundly deep rest and a heartfelt connection with your inner self. No prior yoga experience is needed—just come as you are, ready to be held in warmth, peace, and grace.

Feldenkrais and Medical Qi Gong with Katie

The Feldenkrais® Method is a somatic, or body-oriented, intervention designed to help people reconnect with their bodies and learn ways to move with greater efficiency. It may help a person increase vitality, coordination, and achieve overall improved well-being. The Feldenkrais® Method also clarifies the self-image as it helps to generate greater sensitivity to everything we experience. It allows us to understand our bodies in ways that previously were inaccessible. As we move through life, we develop habits based on our experiences. Whether these experiences are positive or negative doesn't matter. What makes them impede our growth is that they are unconscious. With the Feldenkrais® Method, we bring those unconscious patterns to the surface so that they can be recognized and changed to support our vitality by creating the most efficient way of living.

Medical Qi Gong is a practice with breath and movement. It may benefit immune response, balance hormones, align chakras, and allow for more flow within life. As the basis for martial arts, this form is very similar to tai chi. When practiced, it can be used anytime for protection, organizing and aligning energies, and flowing every day with life in a harmonious way
