Mari’s yoga journey began at the age of six, by learning to do handstands against a wall in a small donation-based yoga studio in downtown Portland, Oregon. She continues to invert herself and sometimes even her students in carefully crafted yoga practice. Coming from a dance background, she thoroughly enjoys choreographing classes that flow, allowing students the freedom to express themselves on their mats and honor their bodies. We use poses to get in touch with our bodies, and tap into the internal innate teacher we each have inside of us.
Mari's first 200-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training was in New York City in 2011. In 2013, she completed a second 200-hour advanced Hatha teacher training in Chennai, India. Upon her return from India, she began her Pilates mat and reformer certification in 2014.  In 2016 she graduated from Maryland University of Integrative Health with a Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy and a 500-hour yoga teacher training, and is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists(C-IAYT). Her next training was for the CoreAlign and then MoTR in 2019.  She completed her comprehensive Pilates certification in 2021.

Kelly Berkley

Breathwork Journey

Kelly Berkley, the founder of BreathTide, is a passionate breathwork facilitator who discovered the transformative power of breath in her personal healing journey. Her initial interest in breathwork was sparked by her struggle with asthma, which left her unable to take full inhalations. This limitation caused her persistent, low-level anxiety, impacting her daily life and meditation practice.

Driven by her desire to find relief from her asthma symptoms, Kelly immersed herself in learning about various breathwork methodologies. She sought guidance from asthma experts specializing in techniques such as Buteyko and Coordinated Breathing. Through these interactions, she gained valuable insights and tools that helped improve her asthma condition.

Eventually her curiosity led her to conscious connected circular breathing. She soon discovered that her asthma challenges were actually emotional tension from childhood stored in her chest and diaphragm. Through this type of breathwork, which is also a somatic exercise, she was able to release the decades-old tension from her body and breathe freely. She had discovered that breathwork offered much more than just relief from her asthma. It held the potential to heal on both physiological and psychological levels.

Since 2016, she has spent time practicing and studying breathwork in Bali, Costa Rica, and the US. Eventually she decided to formalize her study and received her Body of Breath breathwork facilitator certification (conscious connected breathing) in-person in Nosara, Costa Rica in January 2022. She received her 2.5 year, 400 hour breathwork certification in 2024 through The Body of Breath. She also received her pranayama certification in 2019 at Beloved Yoga in Reston, VA. She received her yoga teacher training certification through an immersive training program in Uvita, Costa Rica at Bienestar Yoga in 2021.

Giselle Georgi

Sound Healing

GG Empowers LLC is a trauma-informed, Buddhist, multi-disciplinary artist, facilitator, and healer. She loves creating unique, insightful experiences that bring creativity and wellness together and explore concepts like the inner critic and inner child.  Her art forms of choice are healing dance, mindful painting, and sound healing. Using these mediums, she facilitates mindfulness, helping others strengthen their meditative practice, while also promoting more play and rest for adults. As someone who learned how to thrive while having C-PTSD, she relates to and is deeply supportive of those who embark on a journey of unconditional self love and healthy relating. In everything she does are the core beliefs that everyone is whole and complete, and that the terms ‘enough’ or ‘not enough’ are too limiting to describe all that you are, even if you have forgotten this truth. She is also a firm believer in nonduality - in the concept that all of your experiences are important, valid, and beautiful in the context of your individual path.  She is thrilled to hold space for you, your spiritual practice, your joy, and all that you are
