Afro Fitness

Join Angela for a special 6-week Afro Fitness Class. Get ready to sweat, dance, and have fun with her Afro Fitness Class. This is an intense cardio workout set to the vibrant and rhythmic beats of AfroPeruvian  music. Adult Modern Dance

Express yourself through creative movement.  Join Amanda for a dance class custom-built for adults; she will focus on understanding our bodies, increasing our capacity for self-expression, and learning how to make movement interesting without relying on tricks, gimmicks, filters, or trends. Introductory level, perfect for beginners and retired dancers who feel like beginners.

Wellness Workshops: Yoga Nidra, a 3-part series

Each class includes an opening circling of what each participant would like to take home / learn from the session & a grounding practice that includes breath control and a body scan,  psychoeducation & self-exploration on the workshop topic, and mini gentle movement session that prepares the body for deep rest, and ending with a full yogic sleep practice.

Breathwork Journey: Connecting with Your Authentic Self 

There are a lot of different kinds of breathwork available to you. The type of breathwork that we will practice in this journey is called conscious connected circular breathing. This type of breathwork can help with nervous system resetting, emotional release, stress reduction, increased vitality, increase in awareness, new insights, empowerment and self-discovery, and to help break-up physical tension stored in the body (chronic pain). It is also a beneficial somatic exercise. The process can bring the practitioner to an inner journey and sometimes a non-ordinary state of consciousness. Breathwork is an ancient process for healing that continues to be used to this day by modern healers. Each person’s experience is unique and unfolds on its own. Your own experience will be its best definition. Workshop themes will change weekly. This experience is limited to 13 people. Pre-registration required to reserve your spot.

Helpful tips:

-It is common for emotions stored in the body to surface during this somatic exercise. It is a powerful way to release emotions stored in the body.

-It is uncomfortable to do breathwork on a full-stomach 

-Wear comfy clothes
