Practical Aromatherapy

This 2-day course will provide theory and practice with essential oils. We will explore the world of essential oils through botany and chemistry, to discover their range of actions and applications.  We will use our intuitive skills to access the messages the plant essences hold for us.  In-class blending activities will include creating blends for both therapeutic and subtle energy work.  The class will give you the basics for being able to create blends on your own at home. We will also do an in-class distillation, and you will take home a sample of the hydrosol we create.

Approved for 14 continuing education hours for massage therapists and body workers by NCBTMB.

Scent and Sound for the Seasons

Harness the powerful yet gentle nature of essential oils on acupressure points and discover how to activate the oils and points with sound. Certain oils, points and musical intervals will be explored for supporting, enhancing and harmonizing our clients and ourselves with simple yet effective protocols. We will explore several oils and point combinations and learn their function. What you learn in this class can be used with your clients or as a self-treatment. Drawing on 5 Element Theory, essential oil properties and energetics, and tuning fork activation, this day will be a rich exploration into the synergistic world of scent and sound. Oils and tuning forks will be available for use and purchase at class.
