Our Pilates Offerings
Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph Pilates to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat and/or on specially designed equipment.
Mat: group class.
Mat pilates is a great class for every body. It’s a class that gradually builds in intensity, and all exercises can be modified in order to decrease or increase the level of challenge. Practicing mat pilates is a wonderful way to increase flexibility and build a strong and balanced body.
Reformer: Group or private
A reformer is a pilates apparatus that uses springs to add resistance to your workout. Reformer work focuses on core strength and proper muscle engagement. It is a movement system designed to help in our everyday life, and helps to improve athletic performance, relieve back pain, and speed up injury recovery — among other benefits. The focus is on quality, not quantity, so that you move with precision and control to make each movement count.
CoreAlign: one-on-one instruction.
CoreAlign exercises facilitate musculoskeletal rehabilitation by stimulating core muscles to fire in perfect timing while performing challenging exercises, deep stretches and core-controlled aerobic training. Also great for improving athletic performance, and as a regular exercise regimen for a healthy lifestyle.
The CoreAlign offers extraordinary versatility – hundreds of functional movement exercises!
