Sound Body I and II
These are classes are a perfect way to learn how to integrate the effectiveness of Sound into your current practice. You will learn the key properties of sound and what makes it a powerful adjunct to your current work. Using a simple array of tuning forks, plus metal singing bowls, you quickly discover easy methods for applying sound to the body.
Sound Body I: Using Sound in Your Body Work Practice
This class explores the power of sound and teaches you to effectively incorporate it into your bodywork practice. Sound is increasingly used in healing and wellness environments because of its ability to shift patterns physically, mentally and emotionally. For the body worker it can help relax and prepare the client for the hands-on work as well as be used to release tight tissue and triggers points and relieve pain.
This two-day workshop will include learning about properties of sound and its effect on the body; the tools and intervals that are most effective for body workers; protocols for use; and time to practice using the sound tools on one another. We will be working with specific tuning fork intervals as well as Tibetan metal singing bowls. All the tools will be available for use in class as well as purchase.
Sound Body II: Expanded Applications of Sound
This class continues to explore the power of sound and how to effectively incorporate it into a bodywork practice. Sound Body I focuses on using musical intervals to assist in releasing tension, dispersing pain as well as grounding, balancing and nourishing the client.
In Sound Body II we build on what we learned with additional tuning forks and intervals. We add in tuning fork intervals that are strengthening and building in nature, nourishing the body, and an interval this is opening and expressive, touching into the emotional body. We will continue to integrate techniques for application and add this knowledge to the practicum. All the tools will be available for use in class as well as purchase.
